The roof net is a knitted mesh used by commercial growers available in a range of widths from 4m to 20m. Nets are attached to the framework with PVC adjustable ratchet ties which allow the net to be removed during the winter months.
Doors are supplied with hinges, special door fasteners and individual door uprights. Complete with keyhole fixing brackets. Each section when assembles measures 2.5m x 2.5m with further configurations made up from this size.

This is indeed a sturdy product that was fairly easy to set up as other reviews have said. There were no printed instructions with the kit but on emailing the company we were send a PDF file and link to the videos.
The most difficult bit was getting the poles an equal distance into the ground and perpendicular. The right place to put the pole was often exactly where we would hit a large stone underground! Putting it up is definitely a 2 person job with a ladder.
Once the frame was up it was easy to fit the netting though I will be lacing my top net on with nylon cord as removing cable ties every autumn will be fiddly and risk damaging the net if I end up cutting them. The cable ties supplied are not the removable kind. I also found it useful to lace the net along the door frames so it is wrapped around the pole and no rough edges of net are left in the door aperture. There were no instructions for covering the door and I decided to fold the net and leave some extending beyond the edges of the door to give an overlap, covering the gap between the door and the frame. there were no instructions for securing the net over the gap above the door but it was easy to work something out. The supply of netting was very generous, there is plenty left over. .I used a piece of my nylon cord to secure the two central poles together. The central cross piece kept coming out as the poles had a tendency to move apart at the top.

A top quality fruit cage, I am certain it will withstand the winds we get in our area. Was fairly easy to put together although we did have problems fitting the joiners as the centre of all but 2 of the galvanised poles had a protruding seam inside which had to be laboriously filed smooth before the joiners would slide in.
There are 2 videos online to help with the fitting but one is much more detailed than the other.
We are delighted with the finished article, the bees and butterflies can get in but not the wood pigeons and blackbirds. No more broken branches and stolen fruit!

This is a quality fruit cage. The 1" metal tubes are very strong and galvanised inside and out. The joints are also very strong galvanised metal. There are no fragile nylon or plastic joints here. This is made to last. The netting is rigid on the sides to prevent sagging but flexible on top to accommodate tall growing plants. There is an easy to follow online video on how to build it. Overall this is a quality, well designed and well built cage that should last many years. Highly recommended.
