We
have made every effort to help you with your choice of size
and options available on our standard range of garden sized
Polytunnels Polythene clad structures are a safer alternative
to glass houses, extend the growing season and provide an
ideal environment for plants, flowers and vegetables. It
is important to select a good grounding for your Polytunnel
with approximately 3ft (0.9m) spare around the perimeter.
If possible avoid stony ground, as this could damage your
polythene cover. Our straight sided garden sized Polytunnels
vary in size from 10ft wide to 14ft wide and 10ft long to
72ft long. In addition to our standard range, the new Harlow
Polytunnel offers our customers an attractive structure
with many additional features usually only found on commercial
sized structures. |

Constructing your Polytunnel
Highland
Polytunnels’ garden
structures are designed for easy assembly. All our Polytunnels
are delivered in kit form complete with easy to follow instructions.
Individual ground tubes are driven into the ground providing
a secure footing for each hoop leg to sit over. The diagonal
fixings at each end of the structure and full length centre
ridge tube provide additional strength. On the standard
range of garden sized Tunnels, the polythene cover is buried
into a trench around the frame, securing the whole structure
in place. Alternatively you can concrete the ground tubes
into the ground and fit a timber base rail around the frame
to secure the polythene cover. This will eliminate the need
for a trench. Along with many additional features, the Harlow
Polytunnel is supplied with aluminium base rails which will
require the ground tubes concreted in. this base rail has
a sheet trapping facility eliminating the need to bury the
cover into a trench.
